It is only interested in what it wants....they are selfish that way you see. Favorable opinion polls does assist the political party combating an election. It gives courage to that political party and it's supporters to continue the fight so to speak. They can also be manipulated to encourage that particular political party's supporters to fight harder....by making those opinion polls look and sound dire.
