Privatised health is more expensive

Here is an article that suggests that privatised health is more expensive than public health. It compares the privatised US system with the British NHS, and shows that the British system delivered the same outcomes for about half the price. This makes sense because public health is run as not-for-profit, whereas privatised health is run for profit.

Notice that the USA spends a lot on health - more than 65% more than any other country listed - yet has health outcomes (as measured by life expectancy) that ranks it 16th (out of 21) amongst the listed countries.
