Just ran a test on the 3 cylinder Daewo 'Matiz'.

From pump to same pump and filled till fuel was visible at the same point when initially filling the tank and on filling after the run.

201 km round trip with about 10 km of town driving, the rest on the New England Highway, average speed just over 90 km/hr.

Result: 4.786 L/100km or 59.34 mpg (Imperial).

The car is due for an oil change and a spark plug clean and reset, so shall see in a couple of weeks if that makes any difference.

In comparison, on a round trip of 592 km I got 9.700 L/100 km or 29.12 mpg in the Holden 'Statesman' but this trip included dropping 4,000 feet to sea level and climbing back up the Range.
