Sign a petition to sack Tony Abbott for saying that the Gillard Government "should already have died of shame", in a desperate bid to make Julia Gillard feel bad about the loss of her father. Go to http://www.change.or...ack-tony-abbott and let your voices be heard!!! The Liberal Party must know our displeasure with Tony Abbott continuing what has already become a very sick joke.

Hey, if the Libs want him there then that just demonstrates the kind of people they are.

I don't think even David Marr would accept such bizarre conflation.

It's pretty easy to understand, even if you don't want to sign.

So what do you put the comments down to? Given that there was an almighty uproar of public sentiment when Jones said them, what do you think the motivation behind Abbott saying nearly the exact same phrase, mere days after Jones did?

Yes I think Julia has been terribly hard done by, and there is a sympathetic eulogy to her posted at:

Yes, I DO understand the reason for the conflation.

Nice accompanying music for the eulogy.

Even the luvvy Age had a two page (print media) spread on her dodgy past,

Finishing with the line:

Quote

''For what my view is worth - and I have tried to avoid expressing my view and just stuck to the facts - but I think at the very minimum she was wilfully blind.''

RIP

The Opposition has been forced on to the back foot in the row over sexism in politics, after a Liberal Party fundraising menu which contained crude references to Prime Minister Julia Gillard's breasts, thighs and genitalia emerged online.

The menu was used at a dinner for about 20 people hosted by former Howard government minister and now Coalition candidate Mal Brough in Brisbane on March 28. Opposition Treasury spokesman Joe Hockey was the guest of honour.

It featured a dish called "Julia Gillard Kentucky Fried Quail - Small Breasts, Huge Thighs & A Big Red Box".
