Ok... I finally got the book in the mail. I didn't know it was a booker prize winning book. I haven't read a booker book that I didn't appreciate... although I struggled with the religious content in Yann Martel's 'Life of Pi'.
I've barely started Wolf Hall... just through the first pages which describe Cromwell's father as violently abusive. Not impressed with the leap from teen to lawyer... but will asume for now that his youth will be revisited later in the book.
I'll get back to this thread after I'm a quarter ways through.
PS: Marat, where is your brief intro you promised?
